Poor Customer Experience

This oven was purchased open box From Best Buy. From the beginning the oven had an issue where both lower and upper ovens would turn on no matter the if the upper oven was being used or the lower oven was being used. In an attempt to get the oven to it normal expected working over Bodewell made 3 service call. 1st Call was to diagnose and confirm the issue. Two weeks later after report part arrive a 2nd service call and it was determine the replacement control board and and relay was for the stovetop and not the oven. More part were orders to replace the oven control boards. This took a month + & once the new boards were installed the issue persisted. Finally the technicians concluded the wire harness in the oven was the issue and that the part is not replaceable. Called best Buy on the last day of the 60 day return window and requested to return the old oven & paid the price difference for the same model in the box oven. No issues with paying for the inbox unit but duration of the issue and that the oven could not be fixed is an issue. We have been without an over for over 3 months as there was apparently no inventory. Yes there are worse thing in this world, however, this is what was experienced. This was not a good consumer/customer experience: 1. The length of time for the parts and repair attempts by Bodewell seemed excessive. 2. Replacing all the controls board and the front input panel on the oven seems like a waste of parts. 3, Best Buy haggling about an open box floor unit damage when pickling up the old oven after 3 months is frustrating. 4. The length of time to have the new inbox oven delivered. We have 4 different delivery dates before the oven was delivered on the 5th date. 5. GE never attempted to contact me with options and according to Bodewell they were in contact with GE. My last GE Profile Double Oven lasted 14 years and If I could have replaced the control panel and colling fan it would still be in use. Hoping this in the box replacement double oven functions better then the open box oven that had caused months of grief.

The electronics failed for the 3rd time in 5 years

We bought our GE Profile™ 30" Smart Slide-In Electric Double Oven Convection Fingerprint Resistant Range - PS960YPFS for a kitchen renovation that occurred in March 2021. This is not a cheap stovetop/double oven. We paid more for this because we expected quality. It feels like GE has created their product to fail often to extract more money out of their customers. In the five years we have owned this product, it has now failed for the 3rd time where neither the stove top or ovens work. The last two times we had to replace the electronic components, we had to spend about $250 for the circuit boards and about the same with labor. I would have spent more money on a top end appliance like Viking had I known how unreliable this product was going to be.

I am very disappointed with my experience regarding the ongoing Chef Connect issue. The feature continues to fail despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot it. I contacted customer service seeking assistance, but the support I received was not helpful and did not lead to any resolution. The representatives were unable to identify the cause of the problem or provide effective next steps, and the issue remains unresolved. As a customer, I expected more knowledgeable support and a stronger commitment to resolving a product issue. I would appreciate having this matter escalated to a technical specialist who can thoroughly investigate the problem and provide a clear path to resolution. At this point, I am frustrated not only by the continued failure of the feature but also by the lack of effective support.

Beautiful accident waiting to happen

Love the look of this range. It's beautiful. It's also dangerous and badly designed. I bought it because I wanted a double oven and didn't have the space for a wall one. I loved that it had a convection oven and a air fryer. Except they put the convection oven and air fryer on the bottom so the oven I use daily is the one nearly on the floor. This doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you realize you bend over to open the door putting your face directly in line of a extremely hot steam cloud as soon as you open the door. There is no way to lock the oven when it is on so if you have small children this could be extremely dangerous. Unlike a conventional oven that would force a child back and under it due to the door design this is so low a child could tumble into the opening if they tried to open it. Thankfully I don't have children but I even get nervous with my dogs around it since the hot door is practically on the floor when open. Even though it functions well and looks nice I do not recommend this oven at all due to it's thoughtless design.

The oven was delivered although it™€™s modern looking it™€™s extremely cheap. The racks do not slide out. I put in a Dutch oven and the rack bent. I could not get the rack in or out. I ordered a specialty rack for that GE and when it came, it did not fit. I ended up returning the unit.

We've had the burner control board fail twice within 1.5 years. GE honored the warranty for the first failure within a year, but the same part failed 6 months later and I'm on the hook for "trip charges" and "labor" to swap the faulty component. I believe it's a design flaw with baking things that create a lot of steam and the safety thermal switch fails. I would look at other brands before going with this model.

This is my 2nd GE profile Range and I absolutely LOVE it. The first one lasted 9 years. We make pizza multiple times a week and cook at 500 degrees. Unfortunately the the mother board burned out. But, let me tell you what I love about the new model. Entire 2nd oven is an air fryer. So convenient and no smell afterwards. Still a perfect small top oven for pizza! Highly recommend!

I purchased a GE Profile double oven from Costco just two years ago. The warming zone indicator light on the cooktop is now stuck ON, even though the warming zone itself does not appear to work. This creates a serious safety concern. If the indicator light is unreliable, I cannot tell whether the surface is actually heating or not. That puts my family at risk of burns or accidental contact with a hot surface and raises concerns about whether other zones or oven functions may also be misreporting their status. This is clearly a manufacturing or electronic defect, not normal wear and tear for a premium appliance at this price point. When I contacted Costco, I was referred to GE. GE™€™s only response was that my warranty is expired and I must pay for a technician visit just to diagnose the issue. For a high-end appliance that failed so quickly especially with a potential safety issue, this is unacceptable. Customers should not be expected to pay out of pocket to investigate what appears to be a premature product failure.

I bought this oven 2 years ago. The cooktop stopped working at 2 months. Ge repaired it. The cooktop stopped working at 7 months. GE repaired it. The cooktop stopped working at 14 months. GE did not want to repair it after an hour phone call they came out to repair it. The cooktop stopped working at 16 months. They didn™€™t want to repair it and parts were 2 months out. After many phone calls I agreed to purchase another and swap it for $580. I was not happy about having to pay more money as it never worked properly. Now I™€™ve had the new one for 3 months and its thanksgiving week guess what happen the cooktop on the new one is not working same problem turn it on 5 seconds shuts right off. Absolutely garbage range.

I love this oven so only have one complaint. Even though it™€™s a 2 oven stove you can only set the timer for one oven at a time. Also the volume for the timer could be a little louder. I do appreciate the one minute warning though.

Love the air fryer!

I was hesitant about getting a stove with built in air fryer. I figured it would not be any good. I WAS WRONG!! I love it. The food cooks evenly and better than using stand alone. It™€™s roomy and able to cook for larger crowds. I can™€™t wait until Thanksgiving. Thanks GE.

Oven is beautiful. I really like the controls at the front of the oven and they are simple to understand and use. The oven space is perfect and I really like the racks coated so they look clean. I feel like this oven will be easy to keep clean and I will enjoy using it.

Functions well - short on basic features.

Range seems to work well. Four things I strongly dislike. 1) The racks are horrible. They do not pull in/out easily. For this price, I expected the oven should come with full extending racks with bearings. The top oven in particular is a tight space for pulling out food. 2) the stove top does not extend over the counter on the sides and rear allowing debris to fall between the oven and cabinets. 3) there is no lock (that I have found) for the digital controls on the top surface. 4) the timer and notifications are so muted you have to be in the room next to the oven to hear them. Have not yet figured out if you can set multiple timers - but if not; this will be a 5th dislike.

We are thrilled with our new range. We have not as yet had time to experience all of it's features, but we are excited to have a double oven with large sq.ft. capacity, easy to read and use controls, and a smart product. We like the 5 burners on the cooktop and general configuration of the range.

BIG Disappointment

We are empty- nesters and purchased this range specifically for the double oven and air fryer. I had previously owned a Maytag double oven range and loved it. I primarily used the upper oven for just the two of us, but when I cooked for a crowd, the lower oven was convenient to have. However, I did a kitchen remodel and changed appliances from black to stainless. I also purchased this because it has an air- fryer and convection oven feature. I do not like a lot of small appliances to clutter my countertops, so I chose this one. BIG disappointment! Neither of those features work properly- Also, the track in the upper oven is near to impossible to slide out. I™€™ve had this about 2 years and cannot slide the rack out. If you ™€œman handle™€ it, you can and any dish or casserole you may be baking will most likely end up scattered all inside the oven.

Problem with touch controls

We had this oven for not quite90 days and was very happy with it up till the time that the left two burner controls did not light up. Being under warranty it was replaced with this new stove. We are in hopes this stove doesn™€™t give us any more problems.

The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful!

This brand new beautiful range complements my new bosch fridge and completely upgrades the aesthetics of my kitchen. HOWEVER, quality control needs improvement. I love the burner configurations, especially the huge 3-ring burner perfect for multiple pan sizes, but the middle burner doesn't work so food burns in the center. There's a nice 2-ring burner in front also, which defaults to the larger size. I use it for my little moka coffee pot each morning but its controls are not responsive it's a struggle to get it to switch over to the smaller burner. The oven racks do not slide easily, and they're really difficult to position. It's a new range and I haven't tried all of its features yet, so there may be more issues yet to be discovered. I have a service call scheduled for next Wednesday, so hopefully I'll be happier with this expensive purchase once these problems are resolved.
