Pretty but nor worth the money.

Not worth the money. I replaced this beautiful looking coffee system with my $50 coffee pot that I have had for ten years but This is a terrible product. It makes a Luke warm cup of terrible coffee. Now after 8 months of use it does not work at all. Despite the temperature setting I still can't get a hot cup of coffee. Now it stopped working. I purchased through Williams Sonoma who does not stand behind the products they sell. I now have to begin dealing directly with the manufacturer.

Low quality, cheap plastic and very delicate.

Really disappointed. I wanted everything to match (large and small appliances) and when my previous coffeemaker stopped working I bought this one. It is so high maintenance and I regret buying it. You can™€™t put the carafe in the dishwasher, it is really cheap materials (the glass on the carafe is thinner than any machine I™€™ve ever used) and shows every ground and drop of coffee. I have to hand wash almost the entire machine daily otherwise it begins to stain. I™€™m also disappointed with the capacity, most go to 12 cups and this only goes to 10. Out of the box the coating/paint was chipped or not properly sealed around the grounds holder. See photos.

I first purchased this coffee maker from Crate and Barrel on September 27,2024. The coating on the heating pad area started peeling, CB exchanged the maker for me. Received the second one on October 30, 2024. With in a month it started peeling again. (I should have just returned it, but I did not). Now the gold finish areas are peeling off, at least the heating pad area was hidden, the gold finish is not. The machine looks old and trashy now. I contacted Cafe and they just say "it's out of warranty". Will not stand behind their product.

We bought this coffee maker in early 2024 and have issues almost the entire time we have had it. It started when the machine prompted us to descale, which we did. The descale sign never went away and has flashed for 2 years straight. Then the button went out and would not allow us to smoothly scroll to change time, cups, strength, etc. It would bounce around: for example, trying to set the time from 7AM to 4:30AM, the hours would go from 7 to 9 to 2 to 5 and eventually land on 4. Then two days ago the coffee brewed lukewarm and today it stopped brewing altogether. Very disappointing for the price point we paid for this product.

Good coffee but beware of flaking finish.

I bought this coffee maker from Best Buy in July 2023. In December 2025 the finish on the handle started to flake. It wasn't pretty anymore, but the machine worked well so continued to use it. However, the flaking got worse and became sharp. I just cut my thumb on it. Painful!

Nice addition to our Cafe kitchen

For a long time I was hesitant to purchase this coffee maker due to reviews about the metallic finish flaking off. At some point I got over it and took a chance because we are happy with all of our other Cafe appliances. So far no quality issue with the finishes. We are very happy with the coffee it brews. We have been dedicated french press users for years and wanted to change our morning routine. The recommended water to ground coffee ratio is a little stronger than what I used in our french press, but we think it tastes great. Strong and very smooth. We have tried several brew setting combinations but settled on just using the Gold setting. It has been consistently better than what I was creating with the french press. My favorite Sumatra coffee was fabulous. This coffee maker is easy to use and clean up. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Poor product, worse customer service

Stopped brewing almost a year to the day from when it was put into use. Looking through the reviews, this seems to be a common problem. You hear the machine click when you hit brew, it does nothing. Descaled multiple times, still does not work. Called in, got a case number, was told I would receive a call from the small appliance department with no call, and it's now been two weeks. Bought one for my parents. Luckily it's still in the box, so it's now going to be sent back. Poor product, worse customer service. Update- called again after two weeks of no call back. Sorry, our technicians said there is nothing they can do to fix the coffee maker. And since they told your case manager there's nothing we can do, there was no reason to call you back. No, I am not making this up. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Only lasted a year!

We received this for a gift and it only was a few months and it had issues, 1 being taking forever to finish brewing!!! After 1 year it no longer heats!!! And now it™€™s past the 1 year warranty so zero help from company! Well, they did say we could have a discount on a new one! What a waste for $279.00! So this is a good coffee maker. I love the aesthetic. It brews quickly. I like that it connects to an app. But the carafe handle material is junk. It™€™s flaking and peeling and looks terrible. The white plastic parts get stained with coffee and turn brown. A replacement carafe is $70. Seriously! This coffee maker was $299. Definitely not quality for the money.

The coffee was fine while it lasted, but it only lasted 3 months before it quit working. There is no error message, I fill it, start it, and it just sits there and makes no coffee. The manual directs you to the care section of the website. The care section of the website is a pdf of the manual sending you to the website. In other words, they provide as much care as coffee ™€" exactly zero.

I've had this coffee maker for 2.5 years and the areas that have metallic finish are all peeling off and look terrible. It makes great coffee but the materials should last longer that. I have taken very good care of and only ever wash it by hand with non-abrasive cleaner, so I'm disappointed in the quality and would not purchase again.

I love the way this coffee pot looks on my counter and it makes a great cup of coffee, for about 2-3 weeks before it breaks. I'm on my 2nd one, after much jumping through hoops to get a replacement, and this new one has already broken, too. They are poorly made and very fickle, and this is coming from someone who has had multiple Cuisinart coffee pots that have lasted 5-10 years each.

I was able to replace the unit under warranty for faulty handle, and the new unit just stopped working after 2 years For a $250 coffee maker, a 2-to-3-year useful life is totally unacceptable. The clock numbers started to fade, the handle peels, and lastly brew button is irresponsive

Pro's It's a nice looking coffee pot, easy to fill the water, I like the settings to be able to brew different pot sizes and different temperatures. I just learned how much coffee flavor can be increased by brewing different roasts at different temperatures. Fairly easy to connect to the wi-fi app and use that. Con's , It broke within 4 months, and then took 5 weeks, 5 phone calls, talking to 11 different people in 4 departments, spending 92 minutes on the phone to get a replacement.

I have had this coffee make for TWO years. It matched my matte black appliances that I also purchased TWO yrs ago. The coffee make filter is ripped, the handle is peeling and paint is flaking off, there is a crack in the base. The carafe is also flaking and peeling. This product is suppose to be high end and it™€™s not! I am so disappointed in this, my range that has to be repaired and my microwave is ALSO peeling and flaking in the handle !!!! Almost gave it three stars just for the look, but that™€™s not why anyone buys a coffee machine. We buy coffee machines to make coffee. This coffee machine brews too quickly and the coffee is weak. We are also on our second machine. Our first one stopped working two months into having it. Unfortunately, we were told our warranty doesn™€™t start over™€¦for a new product™€¦ Our first machine also didn™€™t get very hot. This new one seems to get hot.

Continuing Problems + Terrible Warrant Policy

In September 2024 I received a replacement of the same model after complaining of design flaws that caused the coffeemaker's basket to overflow every time I brewed coffee. It caused bitter tasting coffee, and requiring extensive cleaning of the basket, heat pad and stationary parts of the coffee maker, as well as my counter top on many occasions. Additionally, the screw-on lid to the carafe was very tight and very difficult to turn to remove or lock in. I was required to send photos and videos of the issues. This was during my warranty period and was told refunds were not permitted. My only remedy was a replacement of the same model. I inquired whether they had addressed these design issues and upgraded this model, and was told they had not. They also required they receive my malfunctioning coffee maker BEFORE they would ship the replacement. After some protest on my behalf, they did agree to ship and allow me to return once the new coffeemaker was received. The new coffeemaker immediately had the same grounds running over basket issues. The screw top to the carafe was now quite loose, but functioned just fine. I brew coffee every day, and 2 out of every 5 I must unplug the unit to lean it on it's side to clean out all the grounds from crevasses. Immediately after brewing I strain the coffee from the carafe into a large glass pitcher to reduce the grounds and bitter flavor caused by the grounds. I would not buy this coffeemaker again, and avoid future purchases from GE because of the labor intensive photo, video, and explanation pollcy just to get a replacement. It was time intensive and quite ridiculous. You treat every customer as though they are a criminal. Below is a box for uploading images/videos - it does not allow anything to be uploaded.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the Carafe I received. Love my coffee maker and it matches all my other Cafe appliances which is why I bought it but now I'm stuck with an expensive coffee maker that I can't use because I can't get a replacement part! Tried customer service and the parts distributor who basically said I am out of luck. Very disappointed.

WORKED UNTIL I NEEDED TO DESCALE

I tried to descale for first time and got an error message to Add H20. The reservoir was full, but I followed the instructions in the manual, which is to press the brew cup button. Still flashing to add water. I have unplugged to reset and it wiorks once then stops. I am about to throw it up against the wall. I have called customer service 3 times and they have no solutions other than to check to see if under warranty. Is this what happens every time you descale? I™€™ve looked online and other people have the same problem, but no resolution. Fix this!!!!!

Bluetooth still works. No coffee.

This machine makes great coffee. However it ceased working 2 months in. No heat (not even the carafe plate) and coffee does not brew. We spent an hour on the phone only to be told we'd "get an email with further instructions." It's been over a week, and no email. I send an email to GE support and the only response is to call back to the 800# so the same people will also not help us again. Oh and btw, the service number in the manual for the coffee maker is wrong. I hate companies who run around on clearly warranty issues. Just honor your warranty GE.

Coffee Maker only brews for a few months - TWICE!

This coffee maker looks absolutely wonderful on my countertop. My glass backsplash have traces of copper in it so I spent extra money just for the looks. Sadly, looks is all got. After a few months, it just stopped brewing; the light would just flash and flash. I found no suggestion fixes in the documentation or website. When I reached out to GE, they were very responsive and coordinated my return and a new coffee maker. However, after a couple of months the replacement stopped brewing too. I'm still trying to return this one - quite an adventure - multiple emails and phones so far and still working on it. I considered purchasing the suite of appliances as they would have been gorgeous in my kitchen. So, so, so glad I didn't didn't.

I loved it initially. I am now 1/2 years out and it does not heat to the proper temperature. For this price that should not be the case. When I first bought it the reviews on Amazon were all mostly good. It you read them now they have also all changed. I love this coffee pot- my brothers both purchased one and raved, so I got one for my birthday as a gift. The coffee tastes great, it is easy to maintain, and I have been a faithul daily user since receiving it. A few months back the glass carafe chipped as it was being washing in the sink. I assumed it would be easy to find a replacement, which was incorrect. I even ordered one from the site it sends you to for replacement parts and they accepted my money without it in stock (but didn't tell me). After 6 weeks, I reached out to get my money back since it wasn't there and wasn't shipping anytime soon. Pretty frustrated at this point because (when operational) this thing is great.

Wifi connection unreliable

Great performance and features but carafe not good

I like this coffeemaker. It brews good tasting coffee and the electronic features are excellent. Only negative is my carafe handle finish is already separating from the metal handle. I have always hand washed it ( never put in dishwasher) so don™€™t understand why this is happening. This carafe should be replaced free! Also wish the water lid was removable so moisture would dry easier.

Beware! No Replacement Parts!!

It™€™s great until there™€™s an issue. Then the replacement part will never be in stock. I™€™ve waiting almost a year to replace my matte black glass carafe that is peeling and oxidizing. This is from hand washing alone. It™€™s never in stock and I™€™m not buying a whole new machine.

Beware of the peeling finish!

I paid extra for a pretty coffee maker and now it is an ugly coffee maker bc the finish on the handle is peeling off. Come on -- for $200? I would expect that if I paid $20 for it, not $200.

I was in search of a new coffee maker that was sleek, had a glass carafe, and had the auto-brew option. This one surpassed my expectations! The Cafà is beautiful and functional all in one. There™€™s many temperature options which is also nice. Highly recommend!

I did a lot of research to find a coffee maker for our home and this has been a wonderful success! It makes delicious coffee, very smooth™€¦ and it™€™s a beautiful appliance. The features make it easy to adjust the strength and the number of cups. Great product!

No replacement parts

I know it's pretty, and makes good coffee, but GE is unable to make any replacement parts for this coffee maker. We needed to replace the carafe, and ordered it through a service rep in the parts department. When ordered, it had a backorder time of a month (May), which was reasonable. But then it became July, then August, then September. The part (WC02X20561) now shows October. Please trust me - don't buy this coffee maker.

Broken Pot lid - replacement impossible

I purchased the matte black coffee maker with an insulated pot. Apparently that is no longer available. The lid of the part broke into its two plastic pieces, and although I put it back together, I need to get new lid for the pot. But apparently spare pots or other parts are not available on amazon or this website. Very disappointing.

Let Down

I had high hopes for this coffee maker. Initially, I loved it. So beautiful - as are all cafe appliances. Shame on me for assuming the quality would be equally as great. I had only had it for about a year and a half when the carafe started to warp and peel. Mind you, we take very good care of our things and carefully hand washed the carafe after each use. I called customer service in APRIL about the issue. I was told a replacement would be sent in early June. Okay, fine. It is now AUGUST and I have yet to receive the replacement. I just continue to be told that the product is on back order. The carafe handle is literally rotting. The top of the handle is now lifted and the top opening where the lid goes is being pushed in by the expansion of whatever this rot is. Soon, the lid will no longer fit and I will no longer be able to use the maker period. (See photos) Needless to say, I will not be purchasing anymore products from Cafe. Such a disappointment.

2 COFFEE MACHINES HAVE BROKEN.

ISSUES WITH THIS COFFEE MACHINE. The first one I purchased went out. After getting a replacement from GE, the second machine went out after 15 months. GE said the warranty does not restart when getting a replacement! For a machine that is over $200, you would think it would last several years.

Really good coffee maker; horrible parts service

Really good coffee maker. Coffee was great - hot and quick. The WiFi enabled was helpful. I broke the carafe by slightly hitting on the counter. The glass is really thin. This was in May. The replacement was not available until July. It™€™s is now not available until September. We had to buy another, cheaper coffee maker while waiting. We can™€™t be alone. 5-6 months wait for a $65 carafe is not reasonable.
